How do you use this mod? I can attach a rope from the top of a ledge but cannot get it to attach from the bottom. Tried throwing it with the sling shot but it just bounces off.

What are you talking about? This mod was released like two years after 0.4.9. 0.4.10 was released in 2014. A year before this mod. 0.4.13 was released like a month before this mod came out. Are you trolling?

climb rope / clocked:
use in air to throw, hit a edge
punch on a edge that is lower then you, to place it
hook with rope
punch on a edge that is higher then you, to place it
mouth breather assembly
use to refill air/oxygen, use in air to refil it
portable chest
a chest you can pick up
all data in the chest will be stored in an item if you punching it, then all metadata in tools disappear
slingshot
throw away items from stack to right of the tool, place it to change side
items disappear in 10s
i just testing & making mods for the newest releases, so i dont know what versions it works with, it maybe works with 0.4.9

Hi, I've found a bug with the Portable Chest while testing it on our server (Tunnelers' Abyss). If you pick up a PChest with a full inventory, it will disappear completely. This can be problematic, considering the PChest itself is quite expensive, and that the items will all be lost. It would be better if it dropped as an entity at least. If this isn't possible, then it should overwrite an item in the inventory ... maybe?
EDIT: I can drop a filled PChest without a problem, so having it fall as an entity should be no problem as well.

fixed & thanks for reporting, i didn't never think about it :)

fixed & updated the phest storing (serializing the items now) old chests still works,
new / more relastic textures & sounds.
i recorded the rope sounds with my phone (like almost all other sounds im using) from a rope (yeah, i climbing with a rope too) (same kind as the mod, but without the hook).
and the throw sounds (from bows) from a cloth hanger.

I've recently been using this mod again while exploring caves. Along with the grapple hook from the shooter mod, I came up with this idea. I don't like the teleport option of the grapple hook.
I like that I can set a hook from this mod at an edge and lower myself into the depths.
What I'd like to see, instead of the tp from the grapple hook from shooter mod, is a hook that spans a chasm that strings a walkable rope. For realism, I can see using ropes also in a horizontal manner, not just vertically.

the tools work, however they trigger and display the first time using them in chat console errors

I fixed the unbreakable hookings from ropes / automatic_rotate & added pchest label, in version for XaEnvironment, and updated this version with it.
i didnt notice there was Issues / pull requests on github, sorry for that :)
by the way you can now dig the unbreakable hookings when the rope are gone.

This is now my favorite mod for picking fruit and exploring caverns! It is one of those mods that I don't understand how I ever lived without. Makes me feel a little bit like Link too!
