[Mod] Insecure Lua Editor [0.1][editor_insecure_lua]

by rubenwardy » Post

Image

Uses the editor mod's API to give each player a virtual file system, and allow them to run lua code. This is very insecure, and shouldn't actually be used.

Version: 0.1
License: MIT
Dependencies: editor
Download: https://github.com/rubenwardy/editor_insecure_lua
/archive/master.zip
Github: https://github.com/rubenwardy/editor_insecure_lua

Installation

Unzip the archive, rename the folder to editor and
place it in minetest/mods/

( GNU/Linux: If you use a system-wide installation place
it in ~/.minetest/mods/. )

( If you only want this to be used in a single world, place
the folder in worldmods/ in your worlddirectory. )

rubenwardy this is great!

Do you think it would be possible to use your Lua editor, to create a mod creator and tester inside of Minetest? In other words, to have formspec textboxes, checkboxes, etc. where one could select desired functions for a new mod and enter some custom data, and then to generate the code for the mod and save it as modname.lua and to immediately run it inside of Minetest to test the mod's functionality?
