animated items just need better detection and texture handling code.

I don't use armor, could be the "bucket" problem.

Craftitems work just fine, I don't understand what you're talking about. The problem is with the craftitem code, not the frame mod.

:) no worries, check the minetest_game PR #2242 for instance. Unfortunately the engine doesn't do this automatically, so every item may need special handling this way.
