I fixed the free space check, two cranes should no longer interlock.

Main diff: You can't place another crane in you own crane construction area. This should prevent crane clusters like trees in the wood.
But it is still allowed that another player places its crane in your construction area for common projects, if no protection rights are violated.

v0.06 was my answer to his video. But in the meantime a made some further improvements.

I removed the hook entity model. The player gets now real fly privs within the construction area.
For building projects, this approach is much more practical, especially on laggy servers.

Version 2.2 is available (GitHub and ContentDB).
- protection areas are removed (mod now independent on the used area protection mod)
- bugfixes
- code completely restructured

The reason I'm asking (if tower cranes are shareable) is because somehow we botched the mod gameplay. Here's the process of what we did:
  1. player 1 crafts tower crane and uses it
  2. player 2 wants to use player 1's crane but can't so player 1 removes/gets the crane and gives it to player 2; both players can use it alternately but not simultaneously
  3. after sometime, player 2 can't use player 1's crane anymore, and got fly privs (to anywhere) in the process
  4. player 1 gives crane craft materials to player 2 so it can have its own crane
  5. player 2 can't use it's own crafted crane
  6. player 1 can use player 2's crafted crane
Mod version: 2020-03-16 V2.3

You will become the owner when you place the towercrane block. If you dig the block and someone else places the block again, he will become the owner. Only one player can be the owner and use the crane.
If both can use the crane, then there went something wrong:
- did you remove the crane with any tool (the mod has no chance to detect that)?
- are there any other mods, with interact at the same time with player physics and privs?

Can't remove the crane by hand so we usually use a stone pickaxe (at the least).

Stumped at first on what other mod would interact with player physics and privs until you posted the recent techage modpack update, viewtopic.php?p=376641#p376641, and mentioned the stamina mod being added. Just realized we're using the hbsprint mod, viewtopic.php?f=9&t=18069.

Sorry, "tool" was the wrong wording here. I meant "tools" like the node replacement tool from https://github.com/Sokomine/replacer, WorldEdit or other similar mods.

3. player 1 stops the crane
4. player 1 removes the crane
And after each step check your privs (command /privs)
You should have the fly privs only after step 2

Confirmed - fly privs is only enabled after step 2. But this only works on player 1 (admin). Player 2 can place/remove the crane but can't use it.

I have no idea what's going wrong.
The mod by itself runs stable and works as expected on my server.
It has to be related to the other mods.
You should repeat the test and deactivate all other mods...
