Thanks to a suggestion from Chem I am going back through all the foods and making their values match better to what other food addons provide. To be clearer, I am adding up the values of the foods going in and making sure that the new food produced comes out with the same total as what went in.

Small update, I finally have all the licensing issues straightened out!

Adjusted food items to make output of recipes equivalent to the foods used.
Replaced beef textures.

I noticed

so I assume, honey can be used for everything that needs sugar.

The mod Xdecor also has honey ("xdecor:honey").
It would be nice if that honey could be used with bbq too.

I am back working on this mod. Just finished work on a spatula and basting brush that make sounds when interacting with grills. Next will be a grill cleaning brush. These are just for fun, they serve no real purpose.

i couldnt help but notice the cooked mutton looks exactly like the mutton from minecraft, and if you did i dont think there license alows it and you might want to change the texture.

Mutton textures were changed to my own original art back in version 1.02.

Chimney Smoke (Place on top of a chimney)

How does that work, how do you build a chimney in minetest ?

What is that things on top of the wall, and that to the left of the beef-map ?

Shouldn't there be also Spareribs and Beef Brisket ?
For safety, maybe there should be a fire-extinguisher too.

Also, thanks for this mod - now I'm getting hungry again ;)

There is brisket and beef ribs-- yum! And new pork recipes for the goyum.

I suppose there really isn't chimney in minetest. However, stone, cobble, brick, and the xdecor:moonbrick all look great if you place them as if they were chimney. Then just set the chimney smoke on top to give a smoking chimney look. And thats the garlic braid on the wall.

I'm glad you like the mod. I get the feeling I am not the only dad playing with their kids that wants to be able to do Dad things in game.

In VanessaE's homedecor modpack, there is a mod called fake fire.
it has a chimney with smoke... you could probably use the code for the smoke for the grill so when you rightclick or drop a food item onto it, the grill uses fire and sizzling sounds and emits smoke, should be easy enough

My grills do produce smoke when active. The sounds are relegated to the utinsels.

That is just something I threw in because I wanted to make the chimney on my house smoke and it wasn't too out of place in this mod.

Here is a shot of it on my garage, the more distant chimney in the background is my house.
