Small update: new textures for the microwave, by jp. 32px resolution because 16px just isn't enough to adequately capture some details.

bug report :
When i dig your beds with an "admin pickaxe", strange things happened... (look at the screenshort)
When i dig your beds with a "normal" pickaxe, everything is ok :)

This is a bug in the "plain" admin pick. It doesn't execute the "after dig" code that all other tools normally do. Use the pick with drops instead: maptools:pick_admin_with_drops.

Added some more items courtesy of jp today: a barbecue, path stones, beer taps, and a metal tool cabinet/workbench.

With these come a couple of new features: If you place a bed, and then you place another of any color (or the same) immediately above or below it, the code will extend the top part of the foot-board so that they form a set of "bunk" beds, so long as the beds point the same direction and are properly lined up.

With the beer taps, if you wield an empty drinking glass and punch the beer taps, you get a beer mug in your inventory.

The metal tool cabinet does not yet have a recipe.

Update: Any color of bed can form a bunk with any other color. Previous post edited accordingly.

EDIT: and another update: added a back yard tree swing (the kind that's a flat piece of wood suspended from two ropes). Point at the underside of a node when you place it and it'll try to stretch down to the ground. Dig the swing itself to remove it and its rope. See crafting guide for more details.

I have a request: a door that doesn't have gaps/windows that can be seen through, but is still more interesting than a flat piece of wood (the plain door in this mod). Perhaps a design like this, not necessarily painted: http://ic.pics.livejournal.com/sophiap/ ... iginal.jpg.

That would be fine. I usually take the plain woodendoor from homedecor for this purpose, but it's rather an indoor door than one that could be used for a house entrance. Quite often, the glass and wood door in one of its colors does the trick, but it doesn't always fit.

It would also be great to have a door with a half-arc on the top for historic houses/castles.

Plenty of rather bad buildings got improved significantly by the addition of one of the homedecor doors. Further nice doors would definitely be welcome!

I there any chance of a door that is over 2 blocks tall and a single block wide? For example: Could we have a door that would be suitable for a castle or mansion? It would as improve many buildings....

Sure, any size is possible, but the computers might not appreciate very well...

What do you mean? Will it just be laggy or shall it not be able to fulfill its function?

Yes, it might be laggy because it will require to swap even more nodes.

Alright, thanks. Testing it now.

EDIT:

Works like a dream. Got annoyed with Technic and how expensive things were, though...

Update, for those who have not yet checked git, there are several new items of late thanks to kaeza and jp:

* added glass slopes similar to the terracotta and others
* window shutters are now nodebox-based instead of signlike (looks better)
* added 2-node tall standing lamps (like the desk lamps)
* added decorative books that can be placed on a table and opened up
* the medicine cabinet now opens with a punch
* the plasmascreen TV now emits a small amount of light
* added a simple calendar (always reads "Jan 1" for now).
* added a thin candle to complement the current one, recipe changes accordingly.
* fixed texture glitch in signs (nil reference)

Also, I've added two new types of doors: a white "bedroom style" one, and an old-style wrought iron gate-like one. I have also added second type of wrought iron fence piece to match the latter door.

Some of this stuff lacks recipes. I'll add those and the "corner" piece corresponding to that fence later.

in my opinion the homedecor torch needs a better recipe.

the recipe could be like it is now, but the coal lump could be replaced with a small glowing yellow lightcube.
10 of these torches are a bit too much for me, i think 2 or 4 would be a better choice.

The existing recipe is a holdover from the original 3dforniture mod from which the torches were derived: viewtopic.php?id=2207

Since it is a torch, the top part is supposed to represent a flame, so coal still fits. A yield 4 or 6 would make more sense than 10, though, you're right.

EDIT: Ok, "fixed" myself... i was using the minetest mods found on Debian's repos (more ores, more blocks, etc.), but it seems they are out of date.
Uninstalled them, grabbed from githup the latest versions, now it's all working ^^
