This mod adds hedges that automatically connect to each other when placed and that can be crafted from leaves. Hedges connect both horizontally and vertically, making it possible to build hedge mazes a player cannot jump over.

Features:
Hedges automatically adjust height so there are no gaps when building tall hedges.
If MTG is used, hedges for all types of tree in MTG are automatically registered.
Additional recipes have been added for MTG bush leaves.
An API is provided so that other mods that add trees can register their own hedges.
Note: There is a known issue where waving nodeboxes on a mapblock edge won't always waves correctly on all surfaces. If you experience this, it's not an issue with this mod and would need an engine fix to solve.
Looks very nice. Hedges around a house can be very decorative. Some of the leaves types may not be optimal hedge material. When I look at our real hedge, it's a pretty dense and thickly-packed green wall with rare holes.
Hedges are also places loved by small animals and birds. Perhaps an occasional bird may be seen sitting on it/hiding inside, or a hedgehog or a mouse hiding there. That'd probably require adjustments from the mob mods.
Yes, some default leaves textures are not the most optimal for hedges, but in my opinion they are not too great for trees either and this is mostly about providing the API. I don't think any of them look bad either way, and I do think pine especially manages to look quite good.
I don't really want to add mobs of any kind in this mod. It would be really far outside the scope of what it's for, though it would be nice to see it if anyone decided to depend on this and create something like that.
I do have one complaint: The waving of the hedges makes me crazy. They're IMHO too big to wave. I've turned that off for trees as well but love it for small plants.
I'm not going to remove it, because I can't stand leaves in game that don't have some kind of movement, but I should be able to add an option to make disabling it easy.
