For my taste there are too many plants spawning. I like to keep them rare.
How can I reduce spawning by let's say factor 10?

Hey, whenever i get one of your mods such as farming or carts(and some other mods by other people), Minetest displays an error if i try to activate them for one of my worlds.
here is the error,

ERROR: Failed to enable mod "PilzAdam-farming_plus-7e0d976" as it contains disallowed characters. Only characters [a-z0-9_] are allowed.

I would really like to use these mods and could use some help. I use Minetest 0.4.12

A ratio factor can be a good idea :)

judahman23, rename the mod's folder to "farming_plus" without all the extraneous stuff.

I've been trying to use this mode but it doesn't work, it keeps saying "Error loading Farmingplus" and something about it only atmists characters from a to z and from 0 to 9, i already tried renaming it but it keeps without working OnO does anybody knows how i can fix this?
My minetest version is the latest

You'll need to post your debug file, as "atmists" isn't a word we normally see in the error messages.

I meant admits, that was a typo...tho it was pretty obvious I think , and i don't have the mod anymore since i tried everything and it never woked, but the message just said that "Error loading farming_plus" and then i don't remeber the exact words but it said "only admits a to z and 0 to 9 characters"

Try downloading the latest github release and installing again with the folder named 'farming_plus' (without quotes)...

...failing that you could always use Farming Redo which is compatible with farming_plus worlds:

If you are still trying to figure out how to get/make seeds for the plants; might I suggest crafting them? Plant/produce + dirt or stick to get seeds. Sticks would be better since they are renewable.
([noun].. " tried to " ..[verb]..[noun].. " at protected position "..[noun].. " with a bucket")

How could this be done? Is this an option in the init.lua? I can't make it out, I want more stuff to grow and whatnot but having a full inventory of food 3 minutes into the game is too much

I think there is a conflict between wheat crops and weeds. All my early-stage wheat crops become weeds. Has this bug been fixed yet?

from 0.4.15
farming plus causes interference to default farming firstly causing wheat and cotton to not grow
secondley when planting either wheat or cotton 1 seed can plant a whole field
and you can place infinite grass with 1 grass
please see my topic crop problems

I collected my seeds and re-planted, it worked!
It is not infinite plantation, what is born is weed.

I tried looking for clones and doubles of farming plus on github and the same problem with all of those
the mod seems dead in the water

The Minetest Mods Team (minetest-mods) now maintains crops which may be as official as it gets (uses the farming mod included with minetest_game):
