The dark ages are the time period between the end of the Roman empire and the Renaissance. Darkage adds various nodes that are used in this time period. ... riography)
ErrorNull wrote:yes please keep this mod going. i love the new blocks for building and the new nodes for the earth like mud, silts, etc. We need more nodes so that it's not boring stone all the time. I use the mg_villages mod and darkage makes a good combination with it.
I does not let this mod die. As I said before, if you have ideas or feature requests, please tell me.

Important info:

In my experience Darkage can cause lua "Out Of Memory" (OOM) errors in default minetest builds. If you experience such problems, you can use unofficial minetest 0.4.15 stable build made by sfan5 that has simple lua, that provides much more memory, but is somewhat slower: ... t-win64.7z You can also compile it yourself.

This build can also be used with other memory consuming mods, including worldedit for large scale work.

New feature: Round and Square Glass

Round Glass:

Square Glass:

New feature: Colored Glass

If you have unifieddyes installed and if you are using a recent version of Minetest, you are now able to place colored glass like in the screenshots at end of this post.
For colorization you first need to craft milky glass:
This is available for each of the 3 glass variants.
To change the color just punch the glass with a dye of the color you want.

If you does not want to install unified dyes, but still want to use colored glasses you might take a look into Semmett9's medieval mod. It works well together with darkage.

Hello Addi, a have a feature request. Can you make plastered chalked bricks which are plastered alongside on two sides for building "round" things like round towers, oval buildings etc? That would be great.

with the current version of "Unified Dyes" it is no longer possible to dye the milky glass. My test of the versions revealed that the version of 20018-08-22-1 was the last working version.

addi, I will send you a pull request in a few days. Must repeat a git lesson. :-)
The colorization of the milky glass works again.
I also added the "glow" effect to round and square glass. Glow glassvariants have a separate, yellow-orange inventory cube now.

Code: Select all

2019-12-19 18:12:57: ERROR[Main]: generateImage(): Could not load image "unifieddyes_palette.png" while building texture; Creating a dummy image
As per
You're using a mod that still depends on an obsolete palette. That mod will need updating. "unifieddyes_palette.png" was removed when 89-color support was dropped with commit 7b183142 (Sept 2018).

Maybe it's a bit later but I will add the link to colored glass.. I changed light of the blocks, but can be found easily into files.
