Would it be possible for Sokomines' models to be integrated into the master?
that would add butterfly, donkey, rabbit, swan, turtle

i saw something in a license that states something about i can't remove a file or the mod i think. i would like some clairity on that. is it or is it not ok for me to remove the mod after i download it?

i have the said mods enabled in the mods menu. i just made some code edits so hopefully that isn't the reason for this. (code edits made to animalmaterials)

It didnt work for me

What can i do??

They're not mine :-) They where created by AspireMint. I just made them available as a mod. And AFAIK sapier was working on integrating them? Only problem was contacting AspireMint?

What you do in your local game is your own affair anyway. You can delete unwanted mobs from the modpack. I used to do that for hostile mobs in the past (can't really stand vombies running around freely; they ought to learn how to behave :-))

Nop, the game didn start, and in the debug only that tell me, how can i get a more specific error message, i am very newbie and also my english isn very fluid hehehe, sorry for any error :P.

I get this error also when I download the mod and install without editing . The animals do not spawn. I tried getting this adv_spawning but it did not work (yet more errors)

Only problem is Minetest Download page takes forever to load :( Of the many many times I've tried to load that ****, only a few times ever been sitting long enough to succeed.

Is there documentation for this mod? I started reading this forum, and came across a link on an early post, but that link is now broken.

There was also nothing on the wiki - I've created http://wiki.minetest.net/Mods/MOB_Framework in the meantime, and the cow article for now, and will try add documentation as I come across things, though since I only installed it today - and haven't played Minecraft before :) - I don't really know how it all works.

Hmmmmmmm I updated to 0.4.12, now it "works", animals spawn and move and stuff, but they can't interact with me enough, like sharks coming to attack me, eating from hand, etc. Or so it seems.

EDIT: Wow nice one greenman! :D

I'm somewhat new to Minetest myself and just installed this mod. Having a couple issues, one is with the documentation, but I take it others are too? The main problem is the lack of recipes picture at github. Also, cooking meat doesn't seem to work for me, assuming I am doing it right by putting it in the forge along with some fuel.

I'm trying to add documentation on the wiki as I can, mostly by looking things up in the Lua. I figured out how to make scissors today, so should be able to shear sheep :) I don't have too much time, but will add when I can. If you have any specific questions let me know and I'll try look them up, or let me know if you come across anything undocumented (there's still lots) for me to add.

You ought to install a craft guide. They're very practical. The mod unified_inventory might need some getting used to, but once you figured it out it's extremly practical. It has a very good craft guide, shows the blocks available, allows to copy craft receipes directly to the craft grid, comes with bags, has a nice gui for home...all a player could need :-)

It is also possible that there are no receipes for some items. The animals modpack spawns trader huts randomly on the map. Those huts contain traders which will happily sell you a saddle :-) It might be worth searching your world for such a trading post.

I didn't used the mob framework for a longer time now, so I'm not sure if this is still compatible to get the different meat cooked:

Greenman: Thanks, I'll keep an eye out. I did run into a thing that looked like a giant cherry at night, so some kind of monster. It hurt me somewhat in melee a couple times then burnt me to a crisp somehow (first time that I've died!), so I thought it might be Big Red, but it doesn't look like the pic on your wiki. Maybe that's something new? I made some scissors and shearing worked. I wonder if the sheep ever grow their wool back? I'm guessing not.

Sokomine: Thanks, I'll look into that mod. I did find a trader right near where I first spawned, so I'm happily racing around on ostriches, and have a supply of mese (btw, anyone know how exactly to pronounce that word?) crystals to make stuff with, which is nice since I haven't found a mine deep enough to give me any yet.

If sheep didn't grow wool back, then aren't scissors useless? Tamed sheep, maybe?

Murdoc, that's the creeper, otherwise known as the Boombomb. Still to add to the wiki, though surviving long enough to take a screenshot will be fun!
