No, I don't know of any feature that does it for areas.

Enter the area to remove. Look at the area number on the bottom left. Run this command: /remove_area NUMBER_HERE

My server have an error: Players can dig blocks in a area, but they have no protect bypass privs!
My server is a creative server, so they have the creative privs.
Server Version: 5.3.0

Hi I have a problem with the area mod!
I have a server hosted but normal players
can with / area_pos1 / area_pos2 / protect does not work with
normal players who join that is possibly the cause?

Hello,

I have an issue when I try to place a node in a protected area using another mod.
How could I somehow grant my mod the privilege to place nodes in an area ?

Your mod forbids the player to place and dig nodes, but it still allows him to interact with levers for example. I use a few mechanisms including an interaction between mesecons and my mod, that's why your area mod suits my usage so well since players can't break anything but still can activate the mechanisms in there.

Mods can place nodes with set_node without regard for protection. If you want to register a node that ignores protection when a player places it you'd have to override on_place for that node to remove the protection check that the default item_place_node does.

I wonder if there is a way to make areas visible ingame, like the work area from WorldEdit. This would make it a lot easier to set up areas because you don't need to "imagine" where the area is but being able to actually see it.

It would certainly help if there was an outline similar to the worldedit one when you have a selected area, but visually distinct so you can tell whether it's worldedit or areas. Perhaps it would also look different if it matched an existing area as compared to a non-existant area and maybe one that doesn't overlap any areas at all as well? Well, let's not overcomplicate it.

Oh yeah this would be good.
I'd love to see greater interoperability between WE and Areas. Essentially both create a 3d selection box, so it seems inefficient to create two different kinds of selection. It might be easy enough to code a function which translates one into the other at least and, while we're at it, it would be triply cool to include PVP areas at the same time.

It's mostly a question of whether to modify / fork the areas mod or create an additional compatibility library. I'm not expecting ShadowNinja to do this, but it should probably be a group effort

Hi, can you make an option in the settings to hide the "Areas:" in the bottom left HUD when there's no claimed areas to display?
