[Mod] Farming Redo [1.48] [farming]
Re: [Mod] Farming Redo [1.47] [farming]
I am having problems planting pineapple tops. The guide says to use dry dirt but it won't plant on dry dirt at all. My current house is in the savanna biome where I found the pineapple but after getting the top to replant it won't place on any type of dirt so is unable to be planted.
I have tried dry_dirt, dry_dirt_with_dry_grass, ethereal:dry_dirt, sand, soil, dirt, dirt_with_grass, and gravel and nothing has worked.
What do I need to do to replant pineapples?
This is in minetestgame on survival mode. Version 5.7.0 with whatever the current mod version is on ContentDB

@Alatarius - Once you have pineapple tops plant on wet soil (hoe'd normal or dry dirt) to farm new pineapples, so long as you have water nearby they will grow.
Update:
- Tweak soil abm
- Return to old wet soil behaviour (within 3 nodes of water all axis)
- New burger texture (thx Shadall)
- Fix turkish delight recipe (thx kiedtl)
- Fix jungle grass dropping rice seeds
- Rice crops give a little more

I'm still not sure how to make flour. When I put wheat/Oats/Barley with a mortar & pestle in the grafting grid it doesn't give me an output of flour. I have also tried switching their position but with the same result as pictured.

If I open the recipe guide this is all I get.

Just go to that green search field right under the node collection and search for the item you think of, and get all options (crafts) to get it, and also all options to use it.
So far I remember old version, it is 4 fields 1st with wheat and the center one was the mortar.

As Festus1965 said, you should use the craft guide. I suppose you need help understanding the craft guide though.
The particular recipe you're looking at in your screenshot is a "grinding" recipe. This means that it's not made in the normal crafting grid. The two mods I know that add a method of grinding are cottages which adds a hand mill, and technic which adds a grinder (machine). You should be able to use either of those, depending on what mods you/the server have installed.
Failing the above, 4 wheat in a crafting grid should make bread/flour in default Minetest Game if I remember rightly.

@alatarius, place 3x wheat on the first row, 1x wheat on the 2nd row and the middle slot 1x mortar & pestle.

@Blockhead, This is the only recipe it gives me and I have not progressed far enough to use the technic mod, and @TenPlus1 that recipe didn't work either.
Re: [Mod] Farming Redo [1.47] [farming]
@Alatarius - Are you sure that you are using farming redo and not the 'undo' fork ?

Wishes to [Mod] Farming Redo [1.48] [farming]
I have two wishes:
1. Sometimes it would be nice to place one of the wild plants in survival mode (to repair damage or make the land more colorful) without the need for arable land. Ok, it works with the Biome Cow and also with the Sticky Piston, but it's still very tedious. On the other hand, the plant can remain in the wild stage and does not have to give a yield.
2. Some plants look more beautiful at an early stage of development than when they are fully mature. You can interrupt the growth by removing the water, but this also affects a 7x7 field. I would like to prevent individual plants from growing further. The corresponding gardens and fields would then not bring any yield, but then they would also look even more beautiful and natural.

Update:
- New screenshot added
@Erdbeere - The first request can be solved by using the 'give' privelage to give yourself certain plant nodes to place, the second is also similar but make sure they aren't placed on soil with water nearby to grow.

Re: [Mod] Farming Redo [1.48] [farming]
Probably, the give priv would allow for so much else on the server that it's way too powerful to give to a normal player. And lead us not into temptation... Could it perhaps be made possible with a trovel, a scissors or another tool?
Re: [Mod] Farming Redo [1.48] [farming]
@Erdbeere - Another option is to quickly hoe some dirt and place a seed in a dry area so it wont grow, the seed will place and you can use mulch from the bonemeal mod to grow it step by step until you get the size you want.
