Hello Vanessa,
Did you change the growth time of papyrus? It seems to be taking significantly longer than usual for papyrus to grow when running a world using this game.
-brep
Edit: nevermind, I figured out that this was because papyrus is apparently unable to grow on the other types of dirt added by the mods.

Re: [Game] Dreambuilder [20140807-2238]
Which specific node names are you referring to that it doesn't grow on? I'll see if I can adapt it.
Re: [Game] Dreambuilder [20140807-2238]
All of the different forest soils.

Re: [Game] Dreambuilder [20140808-1514]
Can you get me a list of the node names please? I never managed to figure out what all the nodes were that undergrowth creates. :-)

I meant the in-game node names, as dirt is "default:dirt".

Re: [Game] Dreambuilder [20140810-1753]
I'll pass on that mod as a whole, but there are one or two nodes within it that may be useful to homedecor, such as that tool workbench. Also bear in mind that Dreambuilder already has Dan's version of that mod, which has everything plus a bit.

Re: [Game] Dreambuilder [20140811-2112]
I have few newbie questions , please bare with me if it has been asked before and I missed it:
- Can I use this game in server mode ?
- Does the game has it's own minetest.conf file ? Or is the main minetest.conf still used for the server's and map's settings etc. ?
- After I created a world and this game gets updated , can I just delete the whole game folder and unzip the latest version again ? Will it work with that current world ? Or will I have to create a new world every time it updates ?
- Can I add a mod to it that isn't included ?
I run a home server with a world that was created with minetest_game. I have never used a game like this on server or single player , hence the newbie questions.
Any other things that is important when running a game like this on server ?
Thanx

Re: [Game] Dreambuilder [20140811-2112]
Marshall_maz,
- yes you can use it on a server. Two of my servers use it without significant issues.
- It includes a small minetest.conf to contain its default settings, and will also use settings from your global minetest.conf as well for overrides, as with any other game.
- You can just delete the game and download/extract updated versions as you see fit. This won't affect your world's files. Personally I'd suggest using git to track it, but whatever works for you.
- you can add whatever mods you want, so long as they otherwise work with the rest of the content in the game; my two servers have a few out-of-game mods installed as well, for their specific needs.

Ok thanx for the infos Vanessa.VanessaE wrote:Marshall_maz,Inocudom, I may import the Ferns and dryplants mods and the entirety of the Undergrowth modpack into Plantlife at this rate, since I have plans for it that will affect those projects. See the Ferns thread for comments on the issue that user is having.

I love your work , use quite a few of your mods and your textures as well and really want to give this a spin.
Gonna definitely test it on my server tonight.
Just one thing I want to make sure of regarding the minetest.conf , So I don't need to copy over any of my settings to this game's conf file. If I understand correctly , it will still read and apply the settings from the main conf file into this game yes ?

Re: [Game] Dreambuilder [20140812-1235]
That's right. Your global minetest.conf will continue to function as you expect - you don't need to touch it or nor copy the file in dreambuilder to anywhere special. You just install the game as you would minetest_game or any other.
Meanwhile, game updated to build #20140812-1235 (updated homedecor).

Thank you. It has been done. Game updated to build #20140812-1510 accordingly.
EDIT: build #20140812-1612, updated plantlife (added that patch Wuzzy had waiting for Undergrowth).
EDIT #2: build #20140812-2336, updated plantlife again (today's big performance update)
EDIT #3: build #20140812-2358, updated plantlife again (just some buildable_to tweaks)
EDIT #4: build #20140813-0007, updated plantlife again (horsetail ferns shouldn't actively spawn on gravel by default)

Re: [Game] Dreambuilder [20140813-0007]
On the contrary :-) You don't loose anything when dying. All that happens is that you're teleported back to spawn. Builders generally don't like bones lying around or having to pick up inventory again after falling down from a scaffolding structure next to their project.Marshall_maz wrote: So you can't get inventory back when dying ?
