Updated Mobs API:
Three new settings for minetest.conf have been added:
- 'mobs_spawn' when false mobs no longer spawn in world unless a spawner block or spawn egg is used.
- 'mobs_griefing' when false mobs cannot change world around them.
- 'mobs_item_drops' when false mobs no longer drop items when killed.

Updated Mobs_Animal:
- Added raw and cooked mutton from sheep.
- Added raw and cooked rabbit.
- Added rabbit hide (4x hides = 1x leather)
- Changed jump heights for cow, sheep, warthog, chicken.

Updated to version 1.41:
- Added 'runaway_from' table for mobs to runaway from specific mobs or "player".
e.g. runaway_from = {"mobs_animal:scary_wolf", "player"},

Adding rabbit hides make farming rabbits useless now as you need 4 of their hides just to make 1 leather, maybe at least change it where you only need to hides for leather?TenPlus1 wrote:Updated Mobs_Animal:

Stix: before rabbits didn't drop anything but meat, this way they have more value in dropping hides which can be made into leather.

Stix: That would have been up to the server owner to make those changes, but in default mobs_animal they have never dropped anything but meat until now :)

Unable to shear sheep with 1.41 went back to 1.40 now able to shear.

I did a full delete of mobs_redo and mobs_animal when I updated.

You can only shear sheep that you as a player actually own :) This was changed because players were shearing other ppl's sheep and stealing wool... lol

Thanks for your hard work on this mod.
Quick question, and it's probably my stupidity, but all mobs seem to be one-shotted on my server. You can punch any mob and it just explodes. Is there a setting I need to change?

Plus: Seems to be your server, do you have creative mode active or 'creative' priv with a high damage punch enabled ?

Oh :-( That sounds bad. I love shearing sheeps when passing by as well. To leave a sheep with its deep wool in hot weather would be inconsiderate and the sheep may feel ignored.twoelk wrote: you can't shear wild sheep anymore?
