This is the Enterprise D converted from this MC Starfleet map by Momentaneously who converted a SketchUp model by TE Williams.

Only the exterior has been modeled.

Bonus assignment: Activate PilzAdam's Nether mod on this map and see if you can find the hidden glowstone. :-)

Screenshots (using MT default textures; personally I think it looks better with MC Faithful)

Grabbing it. I'll install and check it out later when I have some free time.

Note that you may want to also activate PilzAdam's Nether mod (or a fork) for this map; there is some nether:glowstone deep inside the deflector dish that my quick check for undefined nodes missed.

The download link isn't working :-(

You might also try to import the schematic via my handle_schematics mod. If you've got mccompat installed as well, almost all nodes ought to appear. You can also see which nodes will be used by the schematic before spawning it.

Just go to the page and click the big blue download button at the top. Works fine for me in Chromium. Unfortunately the forum no longer allows big attachments, so it looks like we need to use external hosting for maps now.

I'll have a look at your mod and will use it next time I convert something from MC…

Can't see a download button there. The page is mostly empty - broken by design I think (might work with JavaScript, but I certainly won't turn that on).

Posting large maps on the forum can be a real problem as soon as it's larger than what the forum allows. Still - saving only the relevant chunks with the map-saving client (just the Enterprise) ought to work well and lead to a very small file. A direct link to the original schematic would also be helpful.

That's what I use Chrome/Chromium for: sites that need JS, cookies, or Flash. These download sites like Mediafire or Box.com don't allow direct download links, you always have to visit a page first and click a button.

It's already a singlenode map with only the Enterprise. Also, the skybox textures are kind of big. So I don't think you can make the map much smaller than it is.

The WorldEdit schematic for the Enterprise is 27.6 MB raw, 2.9 MB zipped. I suppose I could post that, but if you can't download from box.com it's a bit pointless.

P.S. OK, I've added the schematic to the first post.

You could switch out the Glowstone for Meselamps.

I like to keep my map conversions as close to the original MC version as possible.

But you can search-and-replace it easily in the schematic e.g. with Perl or a decent text editor. Or simply define an alias as I did for lapis.

Gosh....that is so awesome considering I am a trekky. Has anyone built or is building a model of TOS Enterprise or the Enterprise from its refits?

I have posted another map conversion that features a lot more ships: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=16260
