[ADVENTURE/PUZZLE/PARKOUR MAP] "Escape The Sewer"

Please use the roads modpack from the forums, not Content DB as it won't work.


Includes a MODIFIED version of my telephone mod under the MIT license
Spanish translation by J.W. recently added!
Francais and Czech translations coming soon!
UPDATE 2021/1/13: I know this picture is quite ugly, but it is just temporary...

This is a puzzle-parkour map for Minetest, probably one of the first ones of this kind.
This map is about you getting trapped and then forced to solve some truly unique puzzles (probably) never seen before.
You will also have to go through some jumping (parkour).
IMPORTANT NOTICES:
- SOME OF THE PUZZLES WILL NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY IN ON-LINE (MULTI-PLAYER) MODE AND WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE TO SOLVE!!! PLAY IN OFF-LINE MODE!

- USING ANY MODS OTHER THAN THE ONES REQUIRED IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED!!!

Thank you for the map, I had fun playing it.
Two notes though:
1) The roads mod depends on the function 'register_stair_slab_panel_micro' from moreblocks wich is declared as local and thus inaccesible. I had just downloaded the two mads from the contentDB for this map.
2)The commandblocks don't work unless the palyer already has the 'settime' priv.

The download page just got a massive overhaul, one mistakes was fixed and I will try to upload it later, maybe in the evening.

The problem with the player not having the 'settime' privilege has been fixed, could you describe the first problem more accurately? I am not getting any error message about dependency problems from the roads mod...

Ok, so I did some digging.
About 16 months ago 'moreblocks' made the function 'register_stair_slab_panel_micro' local, thus making it inaccesible to other mods
Some time after the 'roads' mod updated to no longer require it.

The issue is that when you download the mods from the contentDB (as most will probably do), you get the current version of 'moreblocks', but a realy old version of 'roads'. The old version of 'roads' still tries to cal the 'register_stair_slab_panel_micro' function which is no longer accesible thus causing the error.

So the problem isn't actually on your side, the problem is that the contentDB isn't up to date.

I get most mods from Minetest Forums, that's why it didn't happen to me... I will add a notice sign and a text to the Web page telling people to get it from the BB too.

no but i've heard a lot of good things about it. let's say it's on the list...

are you making a new sammy model? maybe you should submit it to the modders.it could be interesting to see it in the game

it makes sense that sammy is part french. he wouldn't look out of place in paris.

what I mean is that sammy is crouching (like a frog) . he looks like he might jump very high at any moment . the french have very strong legs , this is natrual selection from bycicles I think ( im not sure)

Yes, but it is very similar to the one in MTG, actually, it's worse as it doesn't have bones or animations

He probably wouldn't, I'm pretty sure if someone wore denim pants and a green shirt in Paris, the people would look at him as if he were some sort of lunatic because they dress very formal...

If you are using Blender's cycles renderer, you should look into denoising for your final renders. It makes this look miles better:

https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/late ... ising.html

Also the render could use some stronger lights, as the image looks very bland or cold, with not much light in it.
