heres one thats up for the new release i think i downloaded it from rmmtp pack originally but it has been changed for the groups stuff

Are you sure those are updates? It looks to me they are from november 2011 and january 2012. They still use digprop. I tried them out (without changing parameters etc). I tried a lot out, but for now the simple solution is to make the following changes in init.lua:
GROWING_DECAY 1200 or 3600 --> 2
change = 30 --> 2
spacing 15 --> 3
spacing 10 --> 2
spacing 15 -->5
Josh, you can use "search" to look for the words, the first two are in the top part of the init.lua, the 3 spacings at the bottom.
Off course you can use different numbers, but I like to have a lot of flowers :-D
edit: the usual typo(s)

The one referenced by Unified Dyes is this mod. I use the copy of the Flowers Mod that's distributed along with Nature Pack, but it works fine if given enough time for flowers to actually grow. That said, for better use with the dyes, the flowers probably need to be a little more prolific.

The yellow ones are dandelions actually. You don't need Unified Dyes to use Flowers or harvest the resultant plants (but they are used by UD to get the colors).

Sorry for linking to the old flowers mod from unified dyes - I didn't realize it was out of date compared to the one in the Nature Pack.

I've rewritten the flowers mod, starting from the version supplied in Nature Pack. It uses more modern functions and should use less CPU than before. Here it is:

There was an issue with the original flowers mod and from browsing your code I think it will still have the same problem. If you place them or flowers in a pot, you can't get rid of them, even with a pickaxe. I fixed it by doing the following in the old version for all the minetest.register_node code & minetest.register_craftitem:
Commenting out this:
--groups = { snappy = 3},
And adding this:
groups = {snappy=3,choppy=2,oddly_breakable_by_hand=2,flammable=3},
Can this be made part of the flowers mod? It's a pain not to be able to get rid of flowers & pots when you place them. I don't think burning them is the best way to get rid of them.

Actually as it exists right now, my version works fine. At any rate, this topic is kinda obsolete since the old flowers mod doesn't work without hacking. :-)
