I think it's dead and it's probably not coming back (never)

It's a real shame but I was already fearing for the wurst at the beginning I just helped the project in the hope that it would take off (but it didn't)

It sorta did in the beginning but LordStephen disappeared on all of us who were willing to help.

Perhaps someone would be willing to work on a JavaScript adaptation, so it could be easily embedded in Webpages. I'd be willing to help with the backend (as I find time) since I have a lot of experience in Perl and CGI.

PS. I'm also considering whether a top down camera view might offer better gameplay for a sandbox survival mining/building game (you can always add layers, particularly if you make it semi-isometric, but there isn't really that possibility in a side-scroller).

No, that is why I suggested a Javascript adaptation. It would be a lot easier to maintain, and arguably more portable as well.

I would be willing to help as much as possible. Maybe create a topic on it and we can all build it with ideas etc etc on there.

A project like this is major undertaking and requires a great deal of commitment. Sometimes talking about it is the logical first step. Games (and gaming platforms) don't just materialize out of thin air, even if some of us wish they would. :P

One of the reasons why original project died is the lack of vision. It was not very clear what are key features of this game (compared to terraria and others).

If someone want to talk about JS implementation of isometric MT, then create a topic. I propose "Isomine" as a draft name for such project. In addition, I can offer some help with code in frontend and backend (js, java).
