Marstest V1 (modpack and world and maybe future fork?)

Wasn't sure where to put this so I chose this board (seems most fitting).

This is an update to a project I was tinkering with early in 2012. It is very early in development and will very likely be updated a lot before I consider it "acceptable".

I am posting this version ONE for people to try out and offer suggestions/comments/improvements/etc.

To install this Marstest mod, obtain a "run in place" minetest
of version 0.4.4 and place it somewhere.

Copy the "games" folder into the root of the run in place
minetest.

Copy the "worlds" folder into the root of the run in place
minetest.

Copy the "minetest.conf" file into the root of the run
in place minetest.

Start minetest and select the "mars" world.


This modpack is known to work with Minetest version 0.4.4

Theme of the game:
You have just arrived on Mars with a mission. Your mission is to collect Martian resources, process them as needed, expand the colony and explore. This is an open ended mission that can go on as long as you desire. Resources are limited and you cannot grow trees. You will have to use industrial replicators to replicate some of the materials you cannot harvest or grow.

Some Notes: This can be used on a server or in singleplayer mode. Be sure to offer suggestions and comments on how to improve. This is mostly done because I'm interested in the idea. The various mods within the modpack have their own licenses that you must agree to. If you are a developer of a mod contained in this and you do not want your mod included, let me know and it will be removed.

I can't add more this early without spoiling some things in the colony (which WILL be expanded in the future when I have the spare time.. of course anyone is free to expand/improve and offer world. If liked it can be included)

It "should" still work as is. Been a bit busy with real life to develop this any further. It is still in development.. just slowly.
