This is a game, not a mod. Games can't be made game-compatible.
CaptureTheFlag uses MTG's node mods to save going through the trouble of creating its own from scratch

What in MCL2 do you want in CaptureTheFlag? Textures?

I also meant by "compatible" that you can create mcl2 maps. capturetheflag-maps are created in mtg

I'm working on an update that will redo a bunch of things in CTF, including the map maker.
After the update you will create maps with the capturetheflag game.
There will also be a few more nodes since I updated the MTG mods.

If there are some nodes we're missing feel free to request them. Although microblocks/slopes/etc will be refused.
By player physics do you mean knockback?

Great! Yes e.g. knockback. But also a sword cooldown. TNT, cobwebs, armor, bow (the one from mcl2 it is really good now!) and buckets for the players would be cool, but I'm not sure which of them would ruin the ctf game completely.

The Main Server Is Now Running CTFv3!

  • The test server has been taken down
  • You can connect to the main server by filling ctf.rubenwardy.com : 30001 into your address/port bars or by searching it up in the serverlist
  • Rankings from v2 will *not* be ported over. But stay tuned, I have something planned for the top v2 players o.o
  • The test server rankings were carried over to the main server, as they weren't disrupted much during testing
  • The map editor was redone. Please DM me for help using the new editor. A tutorial video will be made eventually
  • If you have questions that weren't answered, or don't like the v3 update, please feel free to voice your thoughts here or in the Official CaptureTheFlag Discord

HUGE THANKS to our new developer savilli for coming in and helping me with CTFv3 code and server setup.
  • v3 would probably still be 60% done, and of much lower quality if not for them.
  • They are the creator of the Nade Fight gamemode that you all seem to be addicted to

Minetest 5.4.1+ is recommended for the best experience ingame

Partly because I have a hard time telling the difference (accident), and partly because CTFv3 involves a 90% code rewrite.

I don't know if this was asked before, but can we have better weapons in capture the flag?
Weapons like the mod "ranged weapons" are way better than those included in ctf.
No offense, just my suggestion.

/team join player team - add 'player' to team 'team' (admin only)

But the server's response is: "invalid command : join".

I don't understant beacause privs admin seem to not work. (But I am administrator with all privs)

Information: ctf admin commands are not present in /help.

I use Minetest 5.6 dev. server.

Can you help me ?

The source code recently had a 90% rewrite. The command is now /ctf_teams set <player> <team>

/help all should show the command, maybe you're missing the needed privs?
