I definitely agree, it's too quiet.
Thankyou for your suggestion

But is that music are able to be spread with the game with the free licence like GNU/CC BY-SA 3.0?

Music can be aslo implemented as some kind of event, like the sound of ocarina or LV Player in technic mod. I mean user during the gameplay can do some crafting or tool use to get a single song to be played. Or feed some mob with some kind of food, like magic weed, to make those mob sing some funny or creepy lyrics lol. It could bring some more fun I think. But that is just an idea, nothing more.

D00Med, I know of a website where you can get ideas and maybe even some assistance if you can actually persuade anybody that Minetest is worth their time and effort (I never could:)

Thankyou, that looks like it will be very useful.
I'm currently moving all the game content and changes to a new copy of Minetest Game instead of Minetest NeXt, it should be a lot neater afterwards, and more compatible with mods.

toby109tt and I have been working on a big update to this subgame.
Before the update is complete, it would be good to have some feedback on the changes.
The changes are being uploaded here: https://github.com/D00Med/LegendofMinetest/tree/update
Changes to the subgame include:
>3d models for the boomerangs, and a better method for their return
>new mobs, and new mob models. The new models use *almost* nothing but cubes.
>In singleplayer, the first time a player joins, a village will spawn.
>new nodes and tools.

Is there a certain mapgen I should be using? The new terrain looks amazing but I haven't been able to find the starting village, or much of anything besides the terrain.

v7 is the intended mapgen for the subgame.
That would be because I forgot to upload some changes, it's fixed now.

Thanks so much! I'll test it out! I love the look of the leaves on the trees and then the "mordor" looking areas. Awesome work!

Maybe even some dark temples and towers would be cool to add to those areas :D Maybe even with lava flowing around it and/or out of it. Just an idea :)

That would be cool. Maybe not the lava though, the little lava pools don't really work on hills and the lava sometimes spills out.

I playtested a few subgames yesterday and I must say that this one is nearly lagless and never crashed me out of the game. :D Keep it up! The unique look is awesome too, except for the moon... Why must the moon be that sinister? D: But anyway, I really hope it stays (nearly) lagless throughout the coming updates. *I plan on getting back to recording Minetest gameplays and this is the subgame I've chosen thus far. :)

Great to hear about having a village spawn. :) Always nice to find villages and such.

@TheReaperKing lol That's a Mordor art for LOTR.

The moon is cool, don't get me wrong, but I prefer more peaceful moons. xD Didn't realize it's from Majora's Mask. I haven't played that one, and now I don't think I ever will. lol

Don't know why this subgame works better for me. My settings are kept low, if that helps. What do you mean by 'OOM'? I'm a noob with technical stuff. :3

out of memory - OOM
I think it's specific to the build I'm using anyway.

Caerulean I was joking of course :)

D00Med I haven't played a ton yet but I haven't had OOM errors either and I fly around with full render distance on.

Sheep don't drop wool. D: Non-miner me is complaining. xD Also some typos like 'cactuc' and some underscores remain in certain item names. And the front 3rd person view is a bit too high.

@TheReaperKing I knew you were joking. :3

3rd person view is high so that the head doesn't get in the way.
You have to use shears to get wool from sheep.

edit:

Changed the 3rd person view to be a bit lower than it originally was, and offset to the side.
This means that the head doesn't get in the way as much when the player is backed up against a wall.

It seems the 64bits (at least on windows) version of Minetest can deliver tons of those nasty out of memory errors, even the new stable release when i set it up the 64bits version on my nephew computer ran into OOM constantly.

After removing it and putting the 32 bits version like i use on my computer, no more problems.
Maybe it's a 64bits issue of Minetes that multiply the OOM problems, give the 32bits version a try.

Some more changes that will be in the update:
>better "fancy" leaves
>trap nodes, such as spikes and quicksand
>jungle vines

Also I removed the 1st person shields since they were still visible in 3rd person.
