Do not be confused by the difference between lighting, and lightning :)

The lighting is a new mt feature that is just added, can be applied on each player, it controls the bright / light balance & saturation.
As you can see on the pics the "new" ones has more light & is more colorfull.
You should be able to see more than just white. I don't think that could be done in Minetest but that would be ideal
We can make the environment bright/light up, but not in complete darkness yet.
The sound effect could be better
It's a recording from my phone, i will try to make a more clear flash sound.
I prefer to use nodes instead of objects cuz objects can only exists 50 blocks away from players then you cant see lightnings far away that we usally do in real life.

That looks cool. It's neat how the mobs turn into skeletons when they die of radiation poisoning.

What cases the reactor to explode? How do you prevent that?

it explods when it is too hot (heat > 600), it turns into dark pink/magenta first.

The best way to prevent overheating is to use a "Radioactivity meter" it measures radioactivity not heat.
But if you placing it 1 block away from it and sets 20 > and at "once" (as i can remmeber right now) you are safe to use it, it simply shuts down the ractor, and you can add another that turns it on when it colder, eg < 5.

Nice feature! Although I think it would look better if the music controls were lined up horizontally at the top.

I just added a insurances slot so you dont have to mess around with them in the inventory.
Therefore the insurances will no longer work in the inventory, put them in the slot/use them.
