1.0.0 released!

Version 1.0.0 of Lord of the Test has been released!
Image

This is fairly stable (not too likely to crash, but it's still very possible!), and has a goodish amount of content - thus I've decided to call this the first truly stable release, and switch to true semantic versioning!

There are some new mobs, lots of new blocks, new textures (Thanks philipbenr!) and other bits and bobs that have been added since the last release!

Maybe u could make this a bit harder :P
It feels to easy to play the game xD
even mordor is super easy? anyway i used to play this subgame so much until i thought about how easy it is (it would be good for a pvp contest start a timer and get goods from everywhere and fight! :D
Give me some EXTREME HARDCORE xD

What do you mean by "special effects", and how do you turn them off?

Yeah, I agree. I really need to make it considerably harder... Do you have any suggestions of how I could do that?! Increasing the damage mobs do is an obvious thing that I should do. As of now, one really can just "walk into Mordor" :P

I was referring to the bump-mapping and parallax occlusion and all that.

I have a question about the Ent, its animation have some missing things (walk strange, no attack animation, etc...), some one in our MFF team staff wants to improved them. (https://github.com/MinetestForFun/serve ... issues/134)

For this improvments, can you give a download link of the .blend file of the Ent mob of your subgame, please ?

It depends on which server you are on, but I would go back onto the server, and hit "t" or whichever key is your default chat button and ask for interact permission on the server. If neither the way I just said works nor this way, I would suggest looking through the server forum and find the right thread.

hey there,

I'm new to minetest and i think I'm probably just to stupid to use the search-function correctly, but I have a problem and I don't know how to fix it.

When i try to start LOTT i get an ERROR "load and run" from
/...lord-of-the-test-1.0.0/mods/default/init.lua.
I'm sry for being a total noob.

That isn't that much information to go off of. Could you post the whole error from your debug.txt (it should be in the bin or root directory of Minetest) A screenshot of the error or full text would be fine if you copy and paste it too.

Its fine. ;) we get these kind of things all the time, as Minetest is not the easiest thing to work with when it comes to mods.

You explored too much or something and maxed out the map size. You can back into the world and be fine... But be warned, it will continue to grow, and could reach 1GB if you keep doing what you are doing pretty quickly.

Farming is the same as default farming, seeds can be found on wild plants.

Edit 2: Forgotten to say mushrooms only grow on decaying wood and only in dark places.
Narzgul should be super bosses. Not mini bosses.(or do you mean their steeds?)
And the witch-king is the lord of the narzgul.
(Sorry, but I am a lotr (book)addict)
Edit: you could also make a gollum to follow the player.(yes precious...), and a smeagol who acts as say a compass or guide (smeagol's good, brings nice stuff for nice hobitses)


Edit2: sorry if this is an old idea, but I am too lazy to look through all 11 pages of the thingy (thingy is a nice, flexible word. I like it.:-) )
