I don't think anyone actively monitors the MMDB. It's been a week since I've uploaded multiple versions for my Carpets mod, and there's still

Are the mods on this site updated like the ones on Github are? The mods do need to be up to date.

No, the editor has to upload to this site each time.

But it is linked to git versions

The detail page (example) has a lot of potential. ;)

In other words: It's not perfect.

So i thought a bit about it and made a mockup. Not much more than a wireframe so people don't get confused by theming or images (that why there is a "no image"-image). :)

I resorted some things so the things that are important for the user are at the top. Further sorting recommended. :)

Oh and i don't get the difference between reviews and comments. That's why there is one big block for comments/reviews.

Comments regarding the development of a mod should belong in the forum, not to the reviews in MMDB. IMHO.

I would suggest a different theme, as the gray is ugly.

There is no theming. It is all about layout. The different colours are just there to make it clear that they are different elements. In the end, it could look like the new homepage.

Talking about layout then, the gallery / info box bit looks like it is 50:50. The info box would be compressed if it was like this, and would probably need a minimum width of 320 pixels, so it should be a fluid layout.

I like the notifications section, and the minimization of the navbar.

i like the idea of the mod database

i have some ideas for it:

1: a link to the forum topic
2: a link to crafting recipes if it is a mod with craftable things (for example home decor)

and i noticed that the mod homedecor isn't in the category decoration.
My game (not minetest): http://forum.freegamedev.net/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=6800

my mods: gold_and_gem, meseconductors

a penguin throws an apple through a window

sometimes i change my "forum location" via user control panel

meet me in #minetest-mmdb if you are interested in realizing that design. One condition thought: the site must be usable without js.

I can confirm this, but it's not caused by us, Dragonop.

For me, the MMDB is broken since months. I reported a problem here and I was told it was already fixed, but the latest version is not online. Now that was almost 2 months ago. Today I checked again it I still experience this bug.

Ummm, is this thing still supported? Is the MMDB abandoned or what? Why would you want to run a buggy and outdated version of MMDB for months online?

The MMDB is of no use for me right now. I haven’t been able to upload anything. :(

It is nothing to do with mmdb's code, the forum's database was broken. thexyz was supposed to have fixed this by now, but he hasn't. Not enough time, I guess.

I wanted to add some mods from the forum so people can use them via the store. But i am not the author of the mods, so i didn't do it.

A differentiation between maintainer/uploader and author/developer should be introduced.

Definitly planned: https://bitbucket.org/iqualfragile/mmdb ... -in-people
as that is not too hard to do it will most likely be done shortly.
