Awesome, although, I don't her anything when the player falls or dies, lol.
Working on a sub-game; mostly based texture packs, adventure and soon chemistry...

My humble review!
negatives:
* The sound enhancement caused the reduction in loading of mods
* The main menu is complex.
positives:
* Sounds of digging and riding cute
* Facilitated search for servers (added description)

Summary:
There was no improvement. There was no overshoot.

Anyway thank the developers.
We can not forget the technical advances.

I find this to be a very accurate review. All in all, it is good to finally see 0.4.8 out.

The map gen is a little weird i think. I don't know if it is intended or just another bug.

Which MG are you talking about? v7 is incomplete, for a trailer, you might want to try out 'PilzTest' by PilzAdam. v6 is the old one. Singlenode, and Math are for developer use only.
7:42 PM - Bauglio: I think if you go to staples you could steal firmware from a fax machine that would run better than win10 does on any platform
7:42 PM - Bauglio: so fudge the stable build
7:43 PM - Bauglio: get the staple build

If you think there was no improvement you could use 0.4.7 instead of 0.4.8

PilzTest is a Minetest sub_game. Google it. You'll find a github page for it. Cownload it from there and extract it in the 'games' folder.

is it a little bit faster response? it seems that way to me

anyway, great job!

it compiles fine on linux mint 15 and supports my crazy mods so i am very happy

if the static error and entity duplication has really been eliminated then i can use entities (oh my!) and that opens up a very big can of awesomeness!

i will make a tester mod that will really abuse the entities and see...oh yes i have the very thing for that! - should be fun! - later!

MT IS MC'S SMARTER BROTHER
minetest 0.4.8 compiled from latest git on linux mint 15 with qjoypad and wired 360 controller
freeminer, pilztest, buildcraft and next are the idea factories
my minetest page is http://1337318.zymichost.com if zymic isn't down - meh, it is free...

Depending on your flavor of linux, "Yes" or "No". Primarily, the download page has several links. Otherwise, you can compile it yourself. Compilation is pretty straightforward if you have the right libraries already installed.
I noticed that Fedora Rawhide has 0.4.8 set for testing, so it's probably in that repo right now.
Ubuntu has 0.4.8 posted already too.
Puppy doesn't seem to yet.

So on and so forth. Please check the download page on the official minetest website for a link to your distribution, before asking. This is in that class of questions where the research is easy to perform so you look pretty silly for asking.

I don''t think so, because there aren't screenshots... only links to screenshots.
with real screenshots on the website it would look better because you can see all in one look.
And I liked the background... but it isn't there now...
Otherwise you're right, it looks mor modern, but I wish that there are some screenshots, perhaps four or less...
