This is the most impressive stone bridge in "African" I've found so far.
And a view from the opposite side:

Wow, that's impressive! It looks like there is a vertical shaft inside the bridge.

Not exactly a shaft. Aerial view of this formation reveals the weakness of this modification -- there's quite a lot of floating big rocks. However it still bears a lot of pleasantly surprising wild sculptures which couldn't happen in real world (so in fact it gives a feeling of a real discovery for I don't think developers were thinking about stone bridges and the like while designing v5 :) )

I personally don't mind floating islands. I have actually realised that generators based on perlin noise have also high potential of being surprising. Although the terrain consists of many bulks, it can still make surprising structures. In my opinion, the generator should have enough freedom to be interesting. If we accept that it sometimes doesn't generate what we want, we can find much more things those we haven't even expected :)voxelproof wrote: Not exactly a shaft. Re: Post your screenshots!
Exactly. It's a case of the "African" -- while there're many odd areas with "exploding rocks" and in general land generation going astray, many other zones are of compelling beauty and strongly resemble real landscape. And in the middle between the two the real magic happens :)Hume2 wrote: I personally don't mind floating islands. Re: Post your screenshots!
Hi. I'm posting here screenshots of my new project.
The player block, I added it for fun.
Sunset on the Desert and the Jungle. Note the trees.
The first biome I created: MESA. I must admit I'm proud of the 'monoliths'.
New ores. Textures are only placeholders, they'll improved. Note the cactus texture too.
A mine I built. It's only for testing obviously.
A castle built on a hill.
If you have some time, please take a look at this topic and tell me what you think of it! Have a good day.

Now you're talking, man :) These are among the nicest screenies I've seen here and the monoliths add truly breathtaking awe to the landscapes. Hope your project will develop further.azekill_DIABLO wrote:Hi. I'm posting here screenshots of my new project.

How large is it? I suppose it's not larger than Karsthafen by solars. Hugely impressive. Waiting for some more detailed screenshots.

Which is much smaller than Karst harbour. You don't need to wait for another screenshot. It has already been uploaded.

Well, the first impression is not very positive... it falls short of expectations, really... You definitely shouldn't place a player under the street level.Phoenixflo44 wrote:Which is much smaller than Karst harbour. You don't need to wait for another screenshot. It has already been uploaded.

Re: Post your screenshots!
Thank you GreenDimond I had completely forgotten. What was the name of the map creator again? And I'm still working on the spawn. The houses are still going to get slices.
