Did you go for a smaller scale, i.e. 1 block = 50cm? Else it looks a bit big inside.

The sailing ship looks great!

Originally I wanted to make it a realistic scale, but I ran into problems when trying to make the bathroom, so I had to base the scale off of the bathroom size, being the smallest room. So... the toilet is to-scale, meaning 1 block = ~1 foot I guess. Yes, it is a bit big. Hence why its "almost-to-scale".

Two buildings are not enough for a village. If you build more houses that fit in style, there could be a new village type in mg_villages based on these houses.

A similar style in building is good. That helps to generate the feeling that it's really a village and not a random assortment of houses. There ought to be some diffrences between the houses so that the village doesn't look boring. Most buildings will probably be houses for people to live in. A tavern/inn/pub ought to be there as it's a place for meeting. All else depends on what you want to create and which time period you want to display. Medieval villages might also have a mill and perhaps a bakery but probably not a shop.

Yeah, sorry about that. I was originally planning for Autumn to gradually roll in. But then I quickly started over complicating the code and just took the easy way out.

This is a loft apartment building that I designed three years ago for my Lakeland City project in WorldCraft, and eventually ported to Minetest. It has appeared (in a semi-finished state) on ESM, Cash's World, and JT2. The fully completed version can be found at spawn on the "just test" server.

Building Name: Sunset Heights
Architectural Style: International High-Rise
Date Completed: July 16, 2017

Aside from that, the interior is very detailed, I like it.

Just though I'll post what i came up with by randomly building walls without ANY kind of a plan.

Thank all for the likes
All screenshots are original, no postworks. Maybe I have turned on to much filters/shaders (ooh - all of them...) . Some look a bit like aquarellpaintings now :-) - One of the nicest an unforgettable moments is still to wake up and the world outside has changed to totally whitesilence overnight- or autumncolored spicy with birds singing. Btw can someone add birdsvoices to the forests please?
If you wake up at a lighthouse you´re probably shipwrecked after a little Sloop-John-B party? Praise Njörd then..

Thanks! Indeed, I used dirt to simulate the appearance of louvers below the windows and for the rooftop HVAC systems. Playing on a server with limited building materials, means having to improvise a lot :).

Anyway are some pictures of Nemo's home on the JT2 server. The design is heavily influenced by the prairie school of architecture, which fits well into the surrounding neighborhood. It also happens to be bordered by Prairie Street, but that's just a coincidence :D
