Hi!

This thread is for posting your best screenshots of Minetest, meant to advertise, promote or show-off what is possible with Minetest. In-game screenshots are preferred. Only post screenshots of high quality. So this thread differs from “Post your screenshots!”. This is not an “anything goes” thread.


I suggest to include (and upload!) the best of the best screenshots on the homepage.

Please also include the following information, when appropriate (this can be used later to sort the screenshots more easily):
  • Minetest version (newest stable or development version preferred)
  • Name of subgame
  • If you’re really sophisticated, also: Installed mods (only those most relevant to the screenshot, you don’t need to repeat subgame mods)
It is perfectly fine to crosspost screenshots from Post your screenshots! and other sources. Also don’t hesitate to “shamelessly” promote your own mods and subgames. This is actually a good thing, since this increases the variety of screenshots.
The goal of this thread is to collect the best screenshots of a variety of mods and subgames to give a good impression that Minetest is so much more than just the default game (but minetest_game screenshots are OK, too, of course).

Well, I don't know if any of my screenshots count as "High Quality", and I'll remove them if you ask. But these are some of my personal favorite screenshots:

Woah! I haven’t expected so many replies in a short time. Thanks!

Please try not to capture window decorations, those only add noise. You don’t need external software to take screenshots, just press F12. But it does not work when a formspec is opened. :(

BUT, when use F12 to take a screenshot I can't name it or change the save location. I end up with a pile of unsorted screenshots that I never get around to sorting and publishing. The window decorations shouldn't be there, but I'm lazy, and if I had to trim them out in gimp, I probably wouldn't get around to posting my screenshots. :)

Like I said, I will gladly remove them if asked.

They look even better if other types of wood and tree trunks are used. As for high-quality, other houses are better. The main advantage of the mg houses is that they're pretty simple and work very well for an adventure map. They may also invite players to extend them.

Hmm. Such a neat "little cobblebox" castle would be a great addition to mg_villages. Right now, it doesn't have any castles.
