Hi !
How do you open/view the Minetest console under Linux/Ubuntu 14.04?
I am getting into modding and this would be a useful tool to check my programs.
Thanks in advance, :)

I've downloaded MenuLibre and I've created a new app with the same command than Minetest but with enabled console.
I've taken a screenshot, but it's in French.
I hope it will help you.

You mean open Minetest in a console so you can see the output?VincentT wrote:Hi !

Not sure of a non portable install but open a console/terminal or whatever you want to call it, then type:
/usr/bin/minetest
If you have a portable install. Open a terminal in the bin directory of minetest and type:
./minetest
You'll see all the text output in realtime as you are playing provided the Minetest game is sized smaller to see the console window.
Hope that helps

Or, simply, open the Terminal and type minetest.

Thank you Gael and ExeterDad for your feedback! Opening Minetest from the Linux / Ubuntu terminal was indeed the solution. Now I can see the output of the print function I inserted in programs.
Et je vais tester MenuLibre, merci Gael.
