How to fly/How to install texture pack

So a lot of people have been asking me,others how to fly.
Well its easy on win.I dont use win.so this is a how-to for Gnu/Linux

Ubuntu/Debian:For ubuntu and debian you will need to install some dependencies:sudo apt-get install build-essential libirrlicht-dev cmake libbz2-dev libpng12-dev libjpeg8-dev libxxf86vm-dev libgl1-mesa-dev

Ubuntu:(If you already have minetest installed,uninstall it,)
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:minetestdevs/daily-builds
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install minetestc55

Debian:
sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
Go to https://code.launchpad.net/~minetestdev ... ily-builds
Click on Technical details about this PPA
choose natty and copy these two lines to /etc/apt/sources.list...Then
SAVE AND CLOSE.
sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys F8CDAB41
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install minetestc55

And now you should be able to fly by pressing K and move fast by pressing J



From Source tar ball:
Compile Minetest:
cmake . -DRUN_IN_PLACE=1
make -j2
OPEN MINETEST FOLDER:
Go to your home folder press CTRL+H
you will see folder called .minetest open it and you`ll see a config file,add these 2 lines

free_move =1
To fly

fast_move =1
To move fast.

Change 1 to 0 to disable it.

Save and close.
Open minetest and you will be able to fly...



INSTALLING A TEXTURE PACK:
If you have it installed with repo follow these steps:
1)Press ALT+F2
2)enter this:
gksudo nautilus
press enter
how,go to
filesystem,usr,share,minetest
copy all the images from texture pack to that folder

With Source tarball:
open minetest folder.you`ll see a folder called "data" open it and copy all the images from texture pack to that folder

Karlas, i saw you with another player skin ( not just 'green guy' ) but i DIDN'T INSTALL ANY TEXTURE PACKS. I tried to change player.png and playerback.png from my client's data folder, but it made all players look similar. Is there a way to change only my personal skin?!

well as far I know its the texture pack.I dunno if people can see me the way they want,if you change player.png it wil change your skin,but also all the players will look same.
