A few days ago I tried the Minecraft crafting recepies instant answers on the DuckDuckGo search engine:
https://duckduckgo.com/?q=minecraft+cra ... &ia=answer. And like the topic says, I wan't to have the same feature for minetest. The instant answer just uses images from the Minecraft wiki, like they can also be found on the minetest wiki. I asked on DuckDuckHack how much work would have to be done, and we only need the craftings from the wiki and writing them into a json file, like its done https://github.com/duckduckgo/zeroclick ... guide.json here for minecraft. So If somebody wants this feature too, please leave a comment.

Minetest runs better on Linux. So I'm using Linux.

Re: Instant answer for Minetest crafting recepies on DuckDuc
There is an important distinction to make between Minetest and Minetest Game.
Minetest Game isn't the only subgame, and not the best one IMO. As Minetest is only the engine, it has no craftings. It would more consequent to make crafts of all subgames available, but I guess the workload required for this would be WAY too much. And I wouldn't recommend it anyway.
And besides, just use a crafting guide already! It is much more accurate anyway. Since you propose that DuckDuckGo uses the wiki for that, the answers are doomed to be outdated or wrong, since the wiki is doomed to be outdated or wrong.
I am not a real fan of game wikis, especially when it comes down to crunshing numbers, or, in this case, simple crafting recipes. It requires a massive amount of work to maintain it and you will probably still have mistakes because humans err. Crafting guides make sense because they do all that automatically.

Probably it should be possible to automatically convert some loaded lua code to the json format.

Should I make an IA request on the DDG forums?

No.
I already explained why I think this is a bad idea.
IMO there are more important things to do with regards to Minetest.
