I'm wondering if there is some utility that could take a 3D model (in any format, but raw triangles is probably easiest) and turn it into a minetest schematic. The idea is that nodes of a certain type are created if they intersect with the edge of the model and/or fall in the interior of the model.
On examination of the world edit '.we' schematic format, this could be done with alot of math and a text-editing language like Perl or PHP.
