how did you get the lava into the fiery biome?
lava buckets are not available on xanadu, so what trick did you use to move the lava?

A bit spooky. The previous time i came here, while tuning and testing mgv7 rivers, just the 'C' was floating there.

Really nice. Seems like the dungeons have some unwanted features.
Underground rivers would be even better :)

1st one: I would do a blend of the two dirts. That way, it would seem a bit more realistic. I personally didn't like the old one... Also, the grass does need that contrast to it. It does add a sense of depth that really isn't there. But making it lighter is good
2nd one: Yes, I think it is good.

Also, could you include a leaf color change? Like adjust the colors to be a bit more yellow-green & brighter? They seem a bit out of place in comparison with the grass.

I was actually thinking about combining the two dirt textutes. I didn't like the initial results, but I think I'll try this again.

As for the leafs, I think they look nice as they are. Wouldn't want to make overly extreme changes either, just some tweaks for the environment to look a bit more lively. What we really need is biome based coloring... but that requires heavier code changes which are yet to be planned as far as I know.

Edit: Just did so and combined the two textures at 50% transparency. Screenshot:

@MK: Are you using GIMP or what? I know that if you were to use GIMP, bump map might work nicely for you. Try using playing with it if you haven't already (that is assuming you use gimp, which you probably don't. But it does work surprisingly well for pixel art) If you don't, will you PM me the things you have been working on? I'll make a little screenshot album about them.

I use Gimp, but I'm not really a texture artist. I just edited the existing ones to make them look better. The texture changes I'm suggesting can be found here if that helps: https://github.com/minetest/minetest_game/pull/434

I was lamenting recently about how the new mapgen had destroyed buildings and landscape on the Just-Test server. But when I looked down to see what had become of the lower castle near my far castle I saw mapgen was just laughing at me.
