A fully functional decimal graphics card built using mesecons.
It has two ten-bit inputs for the x and y coords, and a 1-bit input to erase all.
It outputs in 1:1 but it is possible to make an adapter.

Re: Post your screenshots!
at least the babylonians liked blue glazed tiles and bricks a lot. red and white temples are mentioned in other places of mesepotamia.i think i remember a black temple as well but most would have been brownyellowish or whitewashed with some coloured decorative elements. then again most temples were in use for hundreds of years and may have displayed a large collection of water stains, repair efforts and smaller updates. a very important decorative element for the ancient sumerians and babylonians was the play with shadows wich seems to display well in this screenshot.Red_King_Cyclops wrote:Well built. Did they use to have blue temples at the top?SB66 wrote:interpretation of a mesopotamian ziggurat......
@sb66
had been musing on doing this myself whenever I came across the reconstruction suggestions.
nicely done.

No more gloomy jungles when RPG16 tp is enabled. I recommend this tp for the satysfying, refined aesthetic experience. Its hues harmonize well with the distance haze, which is especially nice when looking at terrain from afar.

Some time ago I made a few quite satisfying tweakings of Gael's Valleys mapgen which feature huge oceans which sometimes stretch for more than 10000 nodes, and have quite a few nice tropical islands, however I'm afraid it's not what you're looking for since finding them would require a lot of patience :)Army_bloodcore wrote:I have a big questions to the terrain posters.
Is the minetest world generator allow me to create a world with jungle islands ONLY?
I am too lazy to set some experiments, and of course, I have no time to do it, but I will try to do this by myself.
Island must be 20~50 nodes large, big island must be 100 blocks at big size.
Ocean size is also - 20~50 nodes between islands, and it must be deep.
I think, it will be very good world for various creative architecture ideas.

@OrangeSoda - this building is very impressive, you may also place eternal fire on top of the tower and take a few shots during nighttime.

And yes it can be done, but the alteration of mapgen and noise parameters is not easy, we can help with that.

Re: Post your screenshots!
Having fun with Voronoi. The idea is to use a multi layered voronoi diagram to flesh out tectonic plates, continents, mountain ranges and naturally flowing, generative rivers that follow terrain. Layered on top of this will be Termos' Islands mod logic, to provide cliffs and terrain noises. This is looking easier to implement as I go.
There is a mild 4-5 minute time period, upon first instantiation of a new world, to generate a 1000x1000 voronoi diagram. Once the diagram is generated and saved, each restart of the world uses the saved data, which loads in under 10 seconds. This can, and should, be optimized by those who are just better at lua and world gen coding. If done correctly, this could easily be written an engine mapgen, providing even more optimization of the code and performance.
Birds eye...
From the northwest looking southeast...
A simple example of how easy and quick this was to accomplish. The math took mere seconds, by hand, from a non-mathmetician.
@duane and @paramat, if you are interested.....

Just wanted to provide more views of the terrain ideas...
Another shot of the above map, this view from the southwest, looking northeast.
This image showing edge drawing in obsidian on a heightmap.
This image shows using different heightmap formulas and / or noises, based on voronoi cell.
