I've also been played with soft-light shadows, which can complement Liso's work on shadow mapping. Some screenshots of the prototype (and to stay on topic):

So tasty... and besides the shadows, the tp does its job. What's it?
I believe TP stands for texture pack in this context.
Oh, I see. The game is Mineclone2 with vanilla texturepack (I guess, it's REFI textures or a derivative of that), I only installed my Funny Shadows mod on top.
The showcase of the upcoming update for my Luxury Decor mod:
I`m overhauling all mod with a goal to add API for each type of stuff (chairs, tables, sofas, lightings) to ease their registration and functioning and also improving the current models/textures. You`ll not need to write a code e.g. to allow sofas connecting between themselves when clicked when you want to register something by using my registration function. The necessary functional will be already accessed. There are still not little work, but I think the most of one has already been done and can be ready in a few weeks.

Made a texture pack edit script for ultrasaturation + hue inversion:
Steps:
Make a folder with all the game/mods/etc textures copied into it.
cd into the folder
run: mogrify -colorspace sRGB -modulate 100,175,200 *

Magic entity based rope system! Also (in theory) usable for fishing line
Obligatory "see adv_weapons grappling hook force field"
Oh right, I forgot about that mod, took me like 5 days to figure out the pitch and yaw calculations lol
And I used a a cube in blender with bones attached to each side, and I moved the bones with set_bone_position. Your code is so much simpler
mapgen_rivers + advtrains make nice worlds :)
Here two scenic mountain lines
These screenshots hint at what I'd call an ultimate idea of what Minetest can be. Splendid, and, for me, a call to come back someday to my as for now abandoned projects.

Nice touch with falling water. I wonder how the bridge looks at night.
Yeah, I am pretty happy with this building, I think its one of the best ones I've made. I think there's some more small details to add, but this is good for now. The bridge in particular was inspired by whale ribs, which was fun.
After compiling the dev version with shadows enabled, I twiked some parameters:
sky body orbit tilt = 30
shadow strength = 0.3
Filmic tone mapping = Enabled
