That is good. Friendly dungeon masters are allowed to live on :-)Rui wrote: @Sokomine
Don't worry ;-)
After talking, he does not shoot a fireball to me.
...maybe we ought to give them some furniture for their dungeons. I'm just undecided as to what ought to go into a dungeon. Most of them still won't be connected to the surface, and players would never see them.jp wrote: Desert stone dungeon outside...

Re: Post your screenshots!
Layer based mob texturing is now a thing in the Creatures mod! The mobs in the screenshots below are composed of multiple grayscale textures, each colorized in pairs from the Lua definition script, using texture modifiers such as "^colorize[". The new function allows defining any combination of outfits (textures + colors) which are packed into a single table and used through the existing skinning system.

These fuzzies are so cute, good work.
Those skin particles are excellent too.

Re: Post your screenshots!
Thank you! I just finished adapting the human skins as well, and there should now be quite a variety of looks between human mobs encountered in the world. Here are a few examples:paramat wrote:These fuzzies are so cute, good work.

While exploring a LOTT world, I found this:
This was naturally generated, mgv7 & lott, seed and co-ords in the last screenshot!

Re: Post your screenshots!
Tweaked the skins and colors for better looking results. Humans now have 3 different skin colors: Black (african), white (caucasian), yellow (asian). Obviously all are combined with random clothes and every outfit is possible.
Re: Post your screenshots!
Asians aren't yellow damnit! They're more like slightly darker Caucasians.

Re: Post your screenshots!
well
caucasians aren't "white"
and
africans aren't "black"
so abstract simplified colorcodes are not allowed when refering to people?

Re: Post your screenshots!
I have been itching to do something like this for a long long time. And, now that I found out exactly what my problems were with meshes and the likes, I am so ready for this.
only problem is this:
(And yes, I am sorry that the textures looks so horrible. I was excited to finally do it and see the actuall product.)
I wish that the Minetest engine would do a better job with the meshnodes shading/lighting, but then again, I am using meshnodes in a rather peculiar way...
Still, would look really nice with lots of other things (If you disable the smooth lighting and what-not.).

Flying Carpet mod:
And I had some fun with falling_extras and negative gravity. Just removing one block on a desert triggers a crazy chain reaction (note these blocks are rising, not falling!):

Re: Post your screenshots!
the other day, tragedy at spawn on JustTest-server
a too close encounter with an indigenous inhabitant. He was not in the mood for negotiating, blocking the only way of escape. Actually non of these guys that roam the server in the nights talk much. :P
