I don't want to be hypercritical about your work, but the overall appearance of this one seems to indicate some coniferous species, definitely it does not resemble any type of oak that I know about. Except this caveat very nice schematics.

Hard to believe, but this is default Valleys mg. This particular world is so remarkably good that I haven't found so far anything that would prompt me to modify the parameters of this particular map :D Taken in Stonecraft, a sort of meta-game for MT (technically it's not a fork), worth playing due to its polish and convenient UI.

Re: Post your screenshots!
Gael de Sailly knew what he was doing when he made valleys. I was always very impressed with it. I had to drop a lot of the best features when I started converting it to C, so the lua mod is still better in most respects, but with all the work paramat put into it later, the regular mapgen isn't shabby either.voxelproof wrote: ↑Wed Nov 04, 2020 14:25Hard to believe, but this is default Valleys mg. And paramat said this would take too long. I cobbled these mods together in less than 2 hours.
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=25600&p=383512#p383512
mg_v6 mapgen in lua.
mg_v7 mapgen in lua.
The mapgen times are authentic. These mapgens rip. Simple biome logic creates 14 biomes, with oceans and mountains handled simply by altitude. Made to use default mod from MTG.
Next is to get the 3D mapgen and Voronoi mapgen code into distinct MTG friendly mods.

Re: Post your screenshots!
Valleys are very tweakeable and pursuing more appealing modes of terrain generation proves very satisfying though rather tricky. E.g. in one of the tweaks I found that there is a possibility of near - flat lakes at different altitudes, probably it could be perfected even more but I ufortunately had no time to spare for this idea.duane wrote: ↑Wed Nov 04, 2020 23:05Gael de Sailly knew what he was doing when he made valleys.
