It looks like things are turning out well for mapgen v7.

Looks very good. I especially like the rivers and the floating islands.
Have you made changes to it or is this the "default" v7?

What do you mean by changes? I just have defined some biomes in Lua, but I have nothing changed in the core.

No, you need the biome definitions in Lua too (e.g. use my game: https://github.com/PilzAdam/pilztest).

You would have to wait a bit longer. I am making a game and i still have to adjust some nodes and crafts. Just using the textures won't give you the same effect as some nodes are modified to get the wanted effect.
