Oh, I know that feeling. Recently I've been taking some rest from the voxel matrix (I'm now on the epic journey across some roguelike dungeon) and it really helps. I once even got genuinely scared by some monstrous shapes emerging in my tweaked worlds. Remember, when you notice that rocks start talking to you or you experience some weird not explainable phenomena, delete the map and take a few day rest -- it's always more safe than risking being sucked into the voxel void ;-))

Ok, I did not post a screenshot here yet (I'm really sorry for it), but I have a destined question anyway...

Some users are posting only screenshots where their work is shown but nothing other special or worth seeing. Just strict something out of thier own work and nothing else although it is laid out in an extra section for mods/texture packs etc (so I mean screenshots of mods, tps... which are unspectacular)!

And now to my question:
Why are you using this screenshots section only for presenting this work instead of using the equivalent topic for this mod/texturepack etc?

You may have a point. What do you suggest this thread should be used for?

Well now of course mods or texture packs may be shown or it would be nice. But when somebody always posting same kind of screens or the main focus is only the mod and excepting the mod you see nothing - so a normal situation where nothing else is seen - this screenshot is not merit to show in an extra section for screens in my opinion because it just says that screens like that are for present a work.
And it would be extremely impolite if somebody uses this section only for posting only one's mods and doing so every time instead of unsing own topics for it.

But if somebody build/found something huge/ pretty/ special/ funny out of a mod (or without/...) or a tp then I think it would be more worth seeing instantly, so these would be screens and not mod presetings.

Ok ok, I did not post a screenshot yet and my remarks are only to satisfy my soul
But maybe somebody would join my remarks :D

Well, there are only so many texture packs, games, or truly incredible builds. Screenshots could, and do, all to easily get buried in the various threads. While there is merit that some screenshots might be better displayed in the appropriate thread, IMO, they would simply go unseen. I certainly don't go foraging through the thousands of threads looking for cool screenshots, so I am very glad this thread is a central gallery, and that there aren't any rules, beyond being MT related, placed upon those of us who post here. I've seen some amazing stuff, and gotten quite inspired to mod certain things, due to the screenshots in this thread.

Enjoy the show. And please post SOME screenshot for us to get a feel for what you might be looking for.

[*]P.S. In previous post, I referred to itemwheel as hudbars. This is wrong. Itemwheel belongs to BetterHUD by Blockmen. It is this mod, BetterHUD, Hunger, and a few that I'm working on integrating, that is working in MTv5.01.[/i]

VOTE lib_materials / lib_ecology to be the new mod base.

More dirts, stone, metals, ores, sand, liquids, plants and trees than you can shake a stick at. Hundreds, Thousands more possible, and all configurable.

Now, with Finite Water, NodeIO, Fluid_lib, buckets and vessels. Soon to come, drinkable vessels.

Includes road and river network.

Would like to include Geomoria, Subterrane, and Natural Slopes in lib_materials. Integrating farming, australia, aoteara, and XOcean into lib_ecology.

This is, hands down, THE most complete, comprehensive world building library available for MT right now. Just look at the pictures.

I find the most useful mod to be Schemedit.

Working on a "complete" player. Currently have Player_API, hud, hunger, thirst, sprint, energy, armor, skills, affects, and sickness. Some of the mods come from the Adventuretest game, some from rpgtest. Getting them all working together for a more complete player. I'm aiming for Player_monoids, LATE, Appearance, and Player_anim. Also adding mana, skills, and xp mods from rpgtest.

Ideally, health, stamina, armor and mana, working in tandem with with hunger, thirst, sprint, and magic. Also on the block are proficiencies and tasks, smaller objectives to work with along with larger quests.

And coming soon .... crafting without formspecs. Build a fire. Learn how to live like our ancestors.
