I'm using Linux Ubuntu, I had Minetest installed a long time ago, and recently updated the mods for it, but now they aren't working properly.
I was told I need to update Minetest itself, so I used "sudo apt-get install minetest" in the terminal.
Now it says I have 281 packages not upgraded, but "sudo apt-get upgrade minetest" doesn't work, what do i do?
Need help updating minetest.

Have you tried the minetestdevs/stable PPA?
There's also the minetestdevs/daily-builds PPA if you are feeling like it, but do note that it may be unstable.

It turns out it wouldn't upgrade because I had the game running; once I shut it down, the upgrade worked.
