I worked through some issues this morning where a rogue mod was causing issues with people connecting. I'm open to suggestions, though minetesthosting.com is a side project that doesn't really make any money yet, but I'd love to be able to improve things and make it a better service than it is now.

Can you replace the protector mod with protector redo please? :)
Re: minetesthosting.com
You bet! I see that it's a drop-in replacement for the old Protector mod by Zeg9, so there should be little to no friction there.BBmine wrote:Can you replace the protector mod with protector redo please? :)

Re: minetesthosting.com
So, there was a bug in the money mod, I've fixed it and all MinetestHosting servers using the money mod should be back up and running. I'll try to push my fix upstream, though it appears that the money mod's github page is down? Anyway, let me know if you guys see any more issues!

Re: minetesthosting.com
I noticed that when I click "Create backup" on my world, it shows the backup instantly. However, when I click download, I can tell based on file size (40 MB) that it's not done. I waited until it stopped at 111 MB to download it. If it's not done making the backup, why does it make it look like it is? Also, if I download it before it's done making the backup, will anything bad happen?
Re: minetesthosting.com
Great question, BBmine! I'll take a look at the backend process and tweak it to not make it available to Restore/Download until it's finished running the backup. Thanks for the feedback!

Re: minetesthosting.com
mransom, can minetesthosting.com be upgraded to the latest Minetest? (0.4.15). I think it would be best to update to 0.4.15 before updating to 0.4.16 in a few weeks. :)

mransom, what do you do with all those accounts and servers that people makes with the free plan just to test and then leave?
Have a nice day! :D

Re: minetesthosting.com
Yes, it's on my backlog, I've been running into weird build issues on my server, and I haven't had time to debug them. I've been meaning to just move everything to docker images, because I can build fine in a docker image, but again, that's an infrastructure change as well, so I just need time to work it out.BBmine wrote:mransom, can minetesthosting.com be upgraded to the latest Minetest? On the small plan or larger, enable xban and do /xban player. On the basic free plan, you'll just have to wait till he comes back to the server while you're on.bosapara wrote:minetesthosting.com,

With xban you can ban people when they're not there, and also set how long they should be banned, but ban just bans them if they're there.LaserJet wrote:what is the diffrence between xban and ban? is kne temporaryBBmine wrote:On the small plan or larger, enable xban and do /xban player. 403 means your server is banned from appearing on the public server list.
Maybe it was you who used swear words in their server name/description?
