I am working to port Minetest to Ubuntu Touch http://ubports.com . My work has been just building minetest using standard linux procedure in the target environment, add some files for the click packaging (the package format used in Ubuntu Touch) but I won't go in the details about it.
The problem is that Ubuntu Touch doesn't use the X.org server, it uses Mir server. So, when launching Minetest it chrashes because the IrrLicht library won't work without X.org running. Now, minetest is available for Android too, and Android doesn't run X.org. So it uses some other library to render, which one? There is any way I can build Minetest against that library so it can runs in X.orgless environments (such as Ubuntu Touch)?
As I am not an expert of Minetest any correction and suggestion is appreciated :)
