[RESEARCH] What Happened To Minetest 0.1?

Hello Minetesters! I'm doing some research on the history of Minetest and was wondering where is Minetest 0.1. Was it ever created? I've looked all over the internet for some evidence of it but I haven't been able to find a thing before Minetest 0.2.

0.1 never existed. 0.0.1 and 0.0.2 did, but it was kind of vague. Before 0.2, versioning was mostly just timestamps.

This contains all the old binary releases (no Linux; those didn't exist):
http://packages.8dromeda.net/minetest/m ... tly_win32/

Here's all that as a single zip package:
http://packages.8dromeda.net/minetest/m ... _win32.zip

And this contains all old source versions before version control. Note that these weren't published under any open source license, and still haven't been:

I tend to not even do version numbers, because I never really have official new realeases. I suppose Minetest could've been like that at the very first, before the dates.
BTW is your reasearch for school or just for yourself?

And hi c55! Nice to see you active again! :D

I did it for fun, and I bet SAMIAMNOT is too. I likely will review them all again to give as complete a documentation as I can.

Thanks guys! Yeah, I'm working on Rubenwardy's Minetest article on Wikipedia for fun. It's probably not notable enough to be considered as a normal article, but whatever.

v-rob, where do you plan to post your documentation?

Just on the forums in feature discussion, as I want to get it on to the Minetest Wiki.
