Re: Favorite storage solution?
I prefer my unlimited extendable sorting system. I can add as many chests as I want as long as I maintain the snake pattern for the transport tubes. For each chest I decide wat to sort into that chest.
I also use an autosmelter first grinding the ore lumps into ore dust and then smelting them into ingots thus I get two inguts from one lump. The system does not overload. Not accepted items are simple transferred back to the chests. The ingots get injected to the sorting system.
From the front the storage is very symmetrical. I usually have 6-8 x 3 chests on top pf each other. On the left side there are the inputs for lumps and normal stuff, and on the right side there is an output chest for all not sorted material.
For power supply i usually use arrayed HV solar panes and downconvert the energy. On the screenshots I use geothermal generators and upconvert the energy.

I've never seen the inventory bags mod or gotten my head around Technics .. yet. Will have to look into those.
"Just chests" : in a cool looking vault with plenty of room. So far I've been going from "small basement that no longer has room for chests" to "oddly separated locations with various stuff."
Making it expandable, organized and attractive as a build are the things I'm going to focus on next round. Thanks for the tips!
