Mapping your own world
Start your terminal/console and navigate to the directory where your minetestmapper executable is.
minetestmapper -i /path/to_my/worlds/worldname/ -o map.png

Mapping a remote server
Either ask the server owner whether they provide a download link for the last backup or record the map to your own disk:
Close all Minetest instances/processes, open your minetest.conf file and add or change the following setting: " enable_local_map_saving = true ". It will save all by your client received map data. After you've explored the most important locations, proceed with Mapping your own world.
