Re: "Inappropriate" content on ContentDB
ContentDB is gonna start getting a little plump
So, what happens if a mod (or whatever) is already accepted onto CDB, has already been checked out, approved, categorized, etc... and then the developer pushes some changes, which add blood/gore, strong language, adult content...?
How can a situation like that be addressed? Seeing as we are on a sort of "what if" excursion.

Providing the appropriate labels are then added, clients with content restrictions will never update to the gorey version as they will never be told that there is an update

Re: "Inappropriate" content on ContentDB
Not a bad idea, but I think the only mods that should be removed are ones that:
Do nothing but add bad content (Would be reviewed by multiple people)
Do harm to the hosts computer
Just pointless things like one single color block
Mods that make the game unplayable, or make the game not fun to play
Other than that, I think signing in wouldn't be a bad idea for seeing "Mature" mods

Re: "Inappropriate" content on ContentDB
I am in favor of making nudity/drugs opt-in. Older kids and adults can probably handle it, but little kids? Imagine if you were 10 and your mom walked in on you while you were scrolling through the Minetest mod store, and there is the drug mod. "Johnny! This game is teaching you that it's okay to do drugs! Don't ever play that again!"

S*x and drugs not allowed?
So that means my ecigarettes mod would be banned?

He's porbably required by law. There's a big problem with censorship in Germany and the UK

Re: "Inappropriate" content on ContentDB
It is just common sense. I try to make appropriate content anyways, because I feel sexual or drug-related content is just pointless making.
Also, if you would make a mod, why would you add E-cigarettes? I doubt it does anything to help the user experience.

The e-cigarrettes allow the player to get various positive effects such as speed or low gravity, they're basically a more realistic version of the potions mod.

Re: "Inappropriate" content on ContentDB
I'm confused... In the same post you said that nudity will be allowed, but hidden by default, and a few lines later you're saying that s**ual content is not allowed...Sexual content won't be allowed.

Re: "Inappropriate" content on ContentDB
A number of artists would disagree that the two are the same thing. For instance, ancient greek statues with the figure being nude or paintings of people nursing in infant or bathing. I'm not saying I agree those belong on ContentDB but artists usually distinguishing "nudity" from "nakedness" and consider not all nudity to be erotic.

This topic is pretty old and doesn't reflect was implemented. See https://content.minetest.net/help/content_flags/ nudity isn't a flag
