I'd like to run a stall for Minetest at FOSDEM
Along with Shara, I ran a stall at Freenode #Live the last two years. This was possible because it's situated in my home city, meaning that I didn't have to pay for transport or accommodation.
I'd like run a stall at FOSDEM to help generate interest in Minetest, and to hand out merch. I've calculated that it would cost me about $360, including merch, so I've added a goal to my Patreon to try and spread the cost of that.
Is anyone interested in helping to run the stall? It would be good to have someone that speaks French/Dutch

Hi, I'm French ... and Minetest has been present for several years on all our stands of our digital mediation association.
Like a lot ... money is a problem ... Even if I could not go to the UK because of that, if you need a hand at a distance, I'm fine.

We participate in many events ... science festivals, media library, free software day, educational congresses ...
We support free and open source software and free culture in general.

By "it", I was referring to your association thing.R-One wrote: Bristol ... no ... it would cost me about 200 € just for the plane.
FOSDEM is in Brussels on the first week of February, and freenode live isn't the main topic of discussion here at all

Sorry, I read fast.
Our association is regional on the "provence alpes cote d'azur" now called "southern region"
After it is possible to make contact with the people of Framasoft who are a national association, and who manages https://framinetest.org/en/

Interesting, nice initiative to introduce people to Minetest IRL. I think you should add in the post that it is located in Brussels.rubenwardy wrote:I'd like run a stall at FOSDEM to help generate interest in Minetest, and to hand out merch. I will probably travel in early 2020 (don't know where yet), if ever I go close to Brussels or I come back to my home region in northern France, I'll let you know. I'd love to come and help if I can, or at least see the stall.
I speak French (mother language) and English (not very good at oral), but not a word of Dutch.

Just realize how bored we would be if the world was perfect.

So, there are 3 times as many applicants to exhibit as there is space. Stall acceptance would be confirmed in November

I need another person committed in order to even apply to run a stall. Anyone interested?
