Wildfire

In Minecraft the fire process is much slower. But in Minetest I tried to burn a tree just to clear that spot and in two minutes it expanded like gunpowder without me noticing. My house burned down and the forest and everything.

Even though they are slower, wild fires are more of a threat in Minecraft. In Minecraft, you can occasionally find pools of lava on the surface, and lightning strikes during storms. If lava or lightning creates fire in a dark forest, then that fire could consume the entire forest.
I'm working on a mod that is essentially Galacticraft for Minetest (with differences).

I saw this happening in MT with Ethereal mod around lava pools also. I think that the peril of fast spreading fires is quite appropriate for younger users from educational point of view. In fact this kind of realisticness should be welcomed as it provides some good intuitions useful in real life.

Try oilboi’s alpha game for a truly rapid fire spreading experience :)
