How to get old Minetest versions on Windows?
Hello! I need to use Minetest 5.0.0 just at the start of my game, because that is the best version to use with the brilliant Gael de Sailly's geo-mapgen mod. On Linux, this is simple: just go to https://launchpad.net/~minetestdevs/+ar ... ntu/stable and download them, then build from source. However, on Windows I cannot download any of these files from that website, so how can I run an older version? Can anyone help me with how to install Minetest 5.0.0 on a Windows machine?

Have you tried newer versions? If it works on newer versions, then you should use that. I see you have from your post history.
5.0.0 is completely broken - 5.0.1 was released a few days after it to fix major crashes. Versions before 5.4.0 also have critical security vulnerabilities that could lead to your computer being compromised if you host it as a server.
You can download older builds from the releases tab on GitHub. For example, here's Minetest 5.0.1

I have encountered quite a few bugs and problems with previous versions except for Minetest 5.5.0 which was more stable.
