just out of curiosity two threads about your hardware
I'll start ^^
OS: Kubuntu 22.04 LTS
CPU: Ryzen U5300 4cores, 8threads non-OC
RAM: 8GB DDR4 3200MHz, Dual-Channel, Single-Rank

Re: Post your Server-Setup
Server:
Ubuntu 22.04 - GUI !
Intel I7-4770 - 4 Cores, 8 Thread ! max 3.4 GHz
32 GB DDR3 - each 8 GB on the 4 slots
M.2 128G, SSD 128 G, HDD 1 TB
extra Nvidea GT1030 2GB - to avoid work and heating on GPU in CPU
I link later an older Thread, where some already offered this data ...
* tuned sysctl.conf on cache and swappiness
* posttgresql plus : faster db more RAM for cache
* mt-server .conf : keep unused data longer in RAM = no need to reload from still slower M.2 SSD
BUT:
* you need to see the max Corespeed as Minetest is single thread (even I see 2 main threads, it does not profit from Multithread), if high load ONLY max GHz can save the lag - the other threads will stay empty
* you need to check RAM and disc IO speed - as that depends on Motherboard and used RAM slots also ! and so the mt server speed
* server OS tuning is important : see sysctl.conf with vm. ... swappiness and dirty ... cache
* MT server database : important, postgresql was a great speed up from sqlite3
* MT-server settings : as unused data, active range, send data limitation, ...
* mod tuning : here ABM with change NOT 1

Re: Post your Server-Setup
i thing he dosnt know better as it is a Laptop xD
but i think the max SingleCore-Speed is 3.6GHz or 3.8GHz peak ( 2.6GHz base )
and the SSD is one from WD (max 3.3GB/s read speed)
